Walk beneath the glowing Harvest Moon 🌕
Join us for an atomospheric evening walk to enjoy the sunset and, if conditions allow, watch the Harvest moon rise. We'll stroll through the market garden and farmland as dusk falls, with the moonlight guiding our way.
We’re lucky to be in a dark sky area, where the night sky is relatively free from light pollution, giving us a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the Harvest Moon and the stars above.
As we wander under the night sky, the brilliant Edenbridge and District Astronomers will share stories about the Moon’s important role in ancient agricultural traditions, as well as why it remains so important to life on Earth today 🌍🌾
This is an evening of discovery, connection and a chance to experience the estate in a different light (or moonlight!)
What if it's wet or cloudy?
The walk will still go ahead in cloudy weather and, although Moon visibility may be reduced, we'll enjoy the sights and sounds of the estate after dark, with the astronomers sharing stories about the Moon. If the weather is particularly poor, we'll move inside for an illustrated talk, bringing the Harvest Moon to life through stories and images.
