We serve locally sourced food, organically grown or farmed where possible. Our menus are wholesome with many of the vegetables coming from our own organic market garden. Our menus are often plant based but we are also happy to serve carefully selected organic meat as well. We cater for all dietary requirements and are particularly proud of our vegan and vegetarian menus. You are equally very welcome to bring your own cook with you if you prefer. All our accommodation comes with fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers.

The Large Barn

Most large groups staying with us hire our Large Barn which is ideal for group practice and large meetings. Warm, yet spacious with high ceilings and original beams, the barn can easily accommodate 20 people practising yoga and up to 150 people conference style. The barn is equipped with a basic kitchen as well as toilets. It overlooks our courtyard area and is adjacent to the Old Stable.

Sustainability at Bore Place

Bore Place is a regenerative site, and our farm has been certified organic for over 20 years. We are working towards improving the estate’s biodiversity, reducing carbon emissions to zero by 2030, as well as minimising our energy and water consumption. We generate our own electricity on-site through PV panels and a wind turbine and we are committed to recycling our waste and water. By choosing Bore Place you are contributing towards our wider work as well as minimising the impact of your retreat.

I have been running a yoga retreat at Bore Place for many years. I have stayed in all the accommodations depending on the size of my group and have found every building to have its own special charm. The Large Barn is perfect for practising yoga, it's become a favourite with my group as the atmosphere is very calming. Also, there are great walks in beautiful countryside to choose from between the yoga sessions. We self-cater and have always found the kitchens to be very well equipped.
The staff are wonderful, cater for everything you need, always happy to help. Looking forward to my next stay in July, it's starting to feel like a second home.

I trained as a yoga teacher at Bore Place and it has always held a special place in my heart. As I already live in Kent it seemed an obvious choice. I am now organising my fourth retreat here and do not struggle to sell out. I opt to use the Old Stable and the Large Barn for my retreats and find the venue always to be clean and well-equipped. My clients love the venue as it's quiet and remote and surrounded by lush Kent countryside for some stunning walks. The Large Barn is an impressive room to practice yoga in and the accommodation is warm and comfortable. Many thanks, Bore Place.

We have been running retreats at Bore Place for the past few years - at least 2 a year. Our team and our guests absolutely love it here!
The house is very special with the most amazing lounge where new friendships are made. The bedrooms are comfortable and cosy and the large barn is perfect for hosting yoga, meditation and sound baths. All set in the most enchanting grounds, with endless walks to discover. Everything is perfectly set up and managed by the team who are extremely helpful and available if you need anything - nothing is too much trouble.
We have many returning guests simply due to the love and attention that has gone into the estate - the pure magic of Bore Place!
