🎄 Create a beautiful Christmas wreath using natural foliage
This is a wreath-making workshop with a difference - rather than arriving to a table of bought foliage and ready-made wreath bases, we’ll head out onto the Bore Place estate together to gather seasonal greenery and natural materials for your wreath.
Back at the workshop, you’ll make your own wreath base from willow grown at Bore Place, before making your wreath using the foliage you’ve gathered from the estate.
The whole wreath will be made from natural materials, with no plastic, wire or floral foam. It’s a zero-waste approach to Christmas decorating, and when the season is over your wreath can be fully composted – or dried and brought out again next year.
No previous experience is needed. You’ll be shown how to make your wreath and supported throughout the workshop, with plenty of opportunity to experiment with the materials you’ve collected. Every wreath will be unique to its maker and to what we find growing at Bore Place that day.
We’ll also have organic mulled wine, mince pies, tea and coffee to enjoy during the morning.
What to bring
Please dress warmly and wear sturdy footwear suitable for walking outdoors on uneven or muddy ground. Gardening gloves and sharp secateurs are useful if you have them.

- Part of the workshop takes place outdoors, gathering foliage around the Bore Place estate, so please come prepared for the weather.
- Sorry, no dogs except trained assistance dogs.
