The layout of the site made it easy to get around, with all key areas close together. This created a natural flow to the experience and allowed for smooth transitions between activities.  Participants loved the cosy communal spaces and noted that the venue encouraged a relaxed, social, and welcoming environment. The gardens, grounds, and surrounding environment stood out as key features that enhanced the retreat atmosphere. Accommodation was widely praised for being comfortable, quiet, clean, and well-maintained. If I could give 6 stars to Bore Place, I would. It is a magical, beautiful and very comfortable place to stay, work and celebrate.  Bore Place is passionately and expertly tended by a community of staff who clearly love what they do: each and every person we came into contact with demonstrated a real commitment to the highest standards of care for their guests, alongside a deep commitment to the stewardship and care of the environment.  The shared spaces and bedrooms rooms are homely, comfortable and well-appointed (without being fussy.) The gardens and wider outdoors are astoundingly beautiful with glorious walks and open spaces. Forty of us gathered at Bore Place in March 2026 for a reunion and enjoyed being fully catered for by the onsite chefs and their team: Every meal from breakfast to dinner was delicious, nutritious and bountiful - with local produce and all dietary needs (which were numerous!) catered for with seeming ease. From the moment I called Bore Place over a year before our event, and spoke with Jen, I knew this was a special venue run by very special people. I wasn't wrong.  It is the most special and we will look forward to returning again and again.

We book Bore Place every year for our staff retreat! We absolutely love the space, which is great for getting us all out in nature and away from our desks in central London. Bore Place House is particularly nice, with a lovely area to sit outside in the summer by the firepit. The staff are always incredibly attentive, helpful, and quick at responding to any queries. The catered lunches and dinner were also delicious (as were the cakes!) and perfectly catered for our specific dietaries. We all came away full and wishing we could stay for longer!
