A feast grown from the land, and a very special evening celebrating 50 years of Bore Place.
To mark Bore Place's 50th anniversary, and our selection as the Chair of Sevenoak's District Council's chosen charity for this year, we're inviting you to an evening that begins in the Market Garden and ends around a shared table.
We will welcome you on the terrace with a cocktail straight from our orchard and hedgerow, before taking you to meet Metske van der Laan, the organic grower who tends the Market Garden from seed to harvest, through droughts, downpours and everything in between. Hear what it's really like to grow food this way, on this land, and why it matters more than ever.
Wander the market garden as the sun goes down, before heading to our historic barn where our chef, Natalie Harris, will bring the flavours of the garden to the table for a four-course feast. If you'd like the food to be a surprise, then don't click here. You'll also hear from our CEO, Dr Anna Bullen, about the Commonwork Trust - the charity behind Bore Place - what half a century of this work has meant, and where it's heading next.
If you'd like to see the menu, click here. Wine will be available to purchase on the evening.
