Discover nature's secret world of colour under the cover of darkness
Join us for an unforgettable biofluorescent woodland night walk. This guided walk will take you on a magical journey, hunting for glowing colours. During the walk you'll use a UV torch to discover the amazing bright colours that are emitted by fungi, moss, insects and other animals. You'll marvel at the display of fluorescent reds, greens, yellows, blues and purples that are emitted by various organisms, and reveal nature's hidden colours.
We also have a Family Biofluorescent Night Walk, if you'd like to bring your children!
What to wear/bring
- Dress for the weather and wrap up warm as we'll take the walk at a slow pace, so we can take time to enjoy the colours
- Sturdy boots are absolutely essential, such as wellies or walking boots
- A torch (your phone probably has one)
Important info
- UV safety glasses will be provided and must be worn throughout the walk for your protection (you can wear them over your own glasses)
- Sorry, no dogs!
