Charcoal making at the Green wood workshop

Make your own charcoal!

Learn the art and science of converting low-grade wood into high-grade BBQ charcoal.  You will load, burn and shut down a kiln, grade the coal and bag it up, all in 1 day.

Tutor:  John Shepherd

Start: 9.30am tea/ introductions for 10am start.

Lunch: approx 1pm - 2pm. Please bring a packed lunch.  Hot drinks will be provided.

Finish: approx 4.30pm

Make a weekend of it!

Depending on availability, we can offer B&B at Bore Place for course participants from £61 per person/night. Camping opportunities are limited; we have a hot shower and toilets, but no cooking facilities. It is essential that you contact us in advance to book either camping, or bed and breakfast.
