✨🌙 Join us for an evening under the stars at Bore Place!
The Edenbridge and District Astronomers will be setting up their powerful telescopes to give you the chance to explore the wonders of the night sky. Guided by their expert team, you’ll learn to identify constellations, stars, and planets, and discover what to look for throughout the year.
There will be opportunities to observe through telescopes, ask questions, and get tips on how to start stargazing or astronomy at home. Whether you’re a seasoned sky-watcher or brand new to astronomy, this promises to be a magical night connecting with the cosmos.
The evening will go ahead whatever the weather - if it is too cloudy for observation outside, there will be an engaging indoor talk instead. The evening will be informal and led by the skies - so any breaks in the cloud will be taken advantage of for observing.
Suitable for all levels of interest: no previous experience or knowledge required.
Important Info:
- Dress for the weather and wear boots for outdoor observing.
- Suitable for interested children aged 8+. If your child is younger, please call us to discuss before booking. Children must be accompanied at all times.
This event is part of our People and Nature Together project, made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and thanks to National Lottery players.
