Bore Place Bug Hunt

Monday 1st August 10:00am - 3:00pm

Adult tickets: Free
Child tickets: Free

We're going on a bug hunt!

Pick up your explorer kit and head off to find as many creepy-crawlies as you can. Learn ID skills to help identify the insects you find and make a note of what you see so we can tally up at the end of the day. Bring a picnic, have your face painted and join in with our citizen science project.

With grateful thanks to the Green Recovery Challenge Fund, we are able to offer this event for FREE as part of our project, Bore Place: We Are Nature which aims to connect people with each other and nature to enhance biodiversity across the site.

Adults are welcome to download the Bore Place Citizen Science app to log your findings and contribute to our farmwide species dataset which will be used to inform the next 10-year farm management plan. If you're interested in taking part in this, we'll help you get set up on the app when you arrive.

Plenty of free car parking.

Throughout the day...

  • Pop-up cafe with tea, coffee and cakes available to purchase
  • Ice cream shed selling delicious organic ice creams and lollies
  • Bring a picnic to enjoy
  • Solar viewing for all ages with the Edenbridge and District Astronomers
  • Facepainting
  • Woodland activities for children
