Boost your tree ID knowledge on a leisurely guided walk around Bore Place
The UK is home to at least 50 species of native trees and shrubs, along with many more introduced non-native trees. Led by John Waller, Bore Place's resident woodsman, this leisurely walk (approx 1-2 miles) will look at some of the trees on the Bore Place estate - but as this is a winter walk, there will be no clues from leaves on the trees. You will learn some general ID skills, along with ways to understand how the trees are related and grouped.
John is our resident woodland expert, he runs the Green Wood Workshop at Bore Place (Underwoodsman Ltd) and sustainably manages the woodlands onsite.
Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy boots or wellies.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
