Pizza From Scratch
Thursday 28th May 9:30am - 12:00pm
This event is CANCELLED in light of government advice regarding COVID-19. We have been in contact with everyone who has purchased a ticket; if you have not heard from us please email email@example.com
This cooking session is designed for younger children. Perfect pizzas made from scratch - even the toppings are freshly harvested (apart from the cheese)! Children will explore our organic vegetable garden to harvest some vegetables for their pizza toppings. Back in the kitchen, they will learn how to make bread for their pizza bases. Whilst their pizzas cook, there is the opportunity to have a guided tour of our farm and meet our dairy cows, before enjoying their delicious fresh pizzas in our gardens.
For the cooking activity, children will work in pairs and share what they have made between them to take home.
- All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (free of charge) who can supervise and support them throughout the event.
- Everyone attending (children and adults!) must wear suitable clothing for the activities and weather. It is essential to bring wellies for the farm tour, even if the weather is dry.
- Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before the session is due to start to enable a prompt start.
This session is most suited to children aged 3-8, but you are welcome to book a place for older/younger children.
There will be time for a mid-morning snack if you want to bring one for your child, and you are welcome to use our picnic area after the event.
