Half Term Holiday Club: A Really Wild Day

Back by popular demand after the success of last year's holiday club programme this year brings another selection of fun holiday mini-adventures for children.  The perfect opportunity for parents to drop their children off for some healthy, outdoor holiday time exploring and enjoying the beautiful Bore Place organic farm estate. With our friendly and welcoming education team the children will have fun, make new friends and learn through doing.  

A Really Wild Day
Become citizen scientists and see how many species of wildlife we can find and record in one day! Checking humane traps and trail cameras, ponds, hedges, meadows and woods, we’ll race the clock to see what we can find and learn how to turn our sightings into useful scientific data. Children will use binoculars, ID keys and apps, and a selection of field equipment, just like the expert naturalists, and make their own sightings notebook. They will go home inspired to continue watching wildlife and learn that they can do their bit to care for and protect it.

Enjoy your picnic lunch around the campfire in the Green Man Glade.

Suitable for children aged 6-11 years. Parents/carers do not accompany children.

• Meet at Bore Place Reception
• Please ensure children bring a packed lunch, drink and extra snacks and wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear and sun protection for the weather conditions. Wellies are essential.
• Not suitable for wheelchair users or those with compromised mobility.
