Join the Edenbridge and District Astronomers for an evening looking at the night sky in the farmyard! Fingers crossed for a clear night so you can look through powerful telescopes to search out deep sky objects. You will be looking out for Venus, as well as Hyades, Pleiades, Orion and Andromeda. The team will talk you through the observations and give hints and tips about other key astronomical objects or events you can look out for over the coming months, and will be on hand to answer questions about how you can get into astronomy at home.
If cloud, rain or wind prevents practical observation, there will be interesting demos, activities and talks. It will be an informal evening led by the weather, so you'll take advantage of any gaps in the cloud as the aim is for practical observation whenever possible!
Suitable for all levels, no previous experience or knowledge is necessary. Tea, coffee and squash will be provided.
