After the success of our pilot holiday club programme last summer, this year brings a whole new programme of fun holiday mini-adventures for children. The perfect opportunity for parents to drop their children off for some healthy, outdoor holiday time exploring and enjoying the beautiful Bore Place organic farm estate. With our friendly and welcoming education team the children will have fun, make new friends and learn through doing.
Green Fingers
Pick up tools from the garden shed, get your gloves and wellies on and head for the veg beds and polytunnels to revisit the organic gardens to tend to the wild flowers and vegetables the children sowed in Spring. We’ll take a closer look at pollinators - butterflies, beetles, and bees and more, and play games and have lots of fun along the way. They’ll make a solitary bee hotel to take home. Finish the day by setting up camera traps, humane small mammal traps and moth traps to find out about nocturnal wildlife the following day.
This day is intended as a follow up to the 'Green Fingers' day in the Easter break, but it will be just as enjoyable for those who didn't attend the previous day.
Enjoy your picnic lunch around the campfire in the Green Man Glade.
Suitable for children aged 6-11 years. Parents/carers do not accompany children.

- Please ensure children bring a packed lunch, drink and extra snacks and wear suitable outdoor clothing/footwear and sun protection for the weather conditions. Wellies are essential.
