Easter Holiday Club: Green Fingers 1
Tuesday 9th April 9:00am - 4:00pm
After the success of our pilot holiday club programme last summer, this year brings a whole new programme of fun holiday mini-adventures for children. The perfect opportunity for parents to drop their children off for some healthy, outdoor holiday time exploring and enjoying the beautiful Bore Place organic farm estate. With our friendly and welcoming education team the children will have fun, make new friends and learn through doing.
A fun day spent exploring the farm and vegetable gardens. Pick up tools from the garden shed, get your gloves and wellies on and head for the veg beds and polytunnels to see what’s growing and sow seeds. Pot up some seeds to care for back at home too. Then set off in search of spring wildlife in the hedges, ponds and meadows, such as frogs and newts, basking grass snakes and butterflies. Finish the day by setting humane small mammal traps and moth traps to find out about nocturnal wildlife the following day...
Enjoy your picnic lunch around the campfire in the Green Man Glade.
Suitable for children aged 6-11 years. Parents/carers do not accompany children.
