New Walks at Bore Place

Posted by on 13th December 2017

We are really excited to be expanding the network of walking trails around Bore Place, with thanks to funding from Ibstock Cory Environmental Trust and Sevenoaks District Council. We are improving access by renovating the infrastructure with new waymarkers, new picnic areas, new information boards, new walking maps and two new routes! Bore Place will have three circular walks of different lengths taking in glorious views, ancient woodlands and numerous ponds brimming with wildlife. In addition, we will also be offering separate three routes that start and finish at Bore Place but which explore neighbouring countryside.

To celebrate we are launching the trails on Saturday 3rd February 2018 (10:30 - 2:00), with a free guided walk with our resident wildlife expert, Tom Forward. We will be providing complimentary tea and cakes, with voluntary donations going towards our Grow to Grow project here at Bore Place.

In addition, we are looking for a team of volunteers to help maintain the new walking trails. If you enjoy the outdoors and would like to volunteer some of your time, we'd love for you to join us in our beautiful countryside setting to help repair and improve access to our walks. Please email BeckyB@boreplace.org if you are interested.
