We’re excited to share that our brand new Bore Place Veg Boxes have officially launched - and they’re already making their way into local kitchens!
Packed with organic, seasonal produce grown right here in our organic market garden, these weekly boxes are a new way for our local community to enjoy the fruits (or rather vegetables!) of our soil. From earthy beetroot to vibrant rainbow chard, everything is harvested just metres from where it’s packed - no air miles, and no plastic.
Why we’re doing this
At Bore Place, growing food is about more than just what ends up on the plate. It’s about building healthy soil, protecting wildlife, reducing waste, and strengthening local food systems. Our market garden is organic, small-scale, and thoughtfully managed to prioritise biodiversity and sustainability - not yield at all costs.
Launching our own veg boxes is a way to share this approach more directly with you. When you choose a Bore Place box, you’re not just getting fresh food, you’re supporting nature-friendly farming, investing in local growers, and backing a charity working for people and planet.
What’s in the box?
The contents change each week depending on what’s in season and looking best. At the start of the season, you can expect a mix of things like fresh salads, spring onions, cucumbers, chard, spinach and broad beans. As the weeks go on, you can expect to see bunched beetroots, tomatoes, courgettes, fennel and cabbages galore featuring in your box, before we hit glorious sweetcorn season!
It’s the way veg should be: fresh, tasty, and connected to the land it came from.
How to get yours
Veg boxes (spoiler alert, they're actually compostable bags) are available to pre-order each week and must be collected on Thursdays from the Farm Gate at Bore Place. Click here to order your veg bag.
We can’t wait to share the harvest with you!
