2 - 3 seasonal paid jobs at Bore Place Organic Market Garden (April – October) 2026

The Market Garden at Bore Place is 6½ acres (mostly outdoors) and supplies box schemes, a wholefood shop as well as attending a farmers’ market in London. We grow a wide range of vegetables and do most of the propagating ourselves. For next year's season our Market Gardener is looking for motivated people with at least a basic understanding of medium scale market gardening for wholesale and direct marketing. People who have done this before know how hard it is to make a living this way so, please don’t underestimate the job.

We harvest to order so you need to be able to work fast, precise and with deadlines, be physically fit and self-motivating. You will need initiative, flexibility and be happy to work as a team as well as  on your own.

One role is assistant head grower, 4 days per week, moving to 5 a week. Basic seasonal accommodation is available for 1 person if needed. Basic tractor driving skills are essential for this position. Start date is middle of April. Pay according to experience (self-employed preferred).

The other positions are for seasonal workers. You will be involved in propagating, planting, weed control and harvesting. The work starts beginning of May. Pay according to experience and being self-employed is preferred. You would need to find accommodation nearby.

Main working days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. There is flexibility in the number of days worked if the work is completed. This is an early and first advertisement for these jobs, no deadline at the moment.

Please send a short cover letter and CV to: metske.laan@boreplace.org
