Space Rocks: An Interactive Meteorite Talk for Kids 🚀
Discover the incredible story of our universe in this fun, hands-on talk packed with demos, astonishing space facts, and real pieces of outer space.
Journey back in time to a mighty supernova - long before Earth was formed - and follow the trail of cosmic events that shaped our world today. During the session, you’ll get the chance to handle genuine meteorites, including pieces from the Moon and Mars. Some may be the oldest objects you will ever touch.
Our expert speaker, Mark Hiller from the Edenbridge and District Astronomers, brings along a personal collection of over 300 meteorites, featuring rare and extraordinary specimens - more than you’ll find in many museums. Expect glittering gems, a very rare space diamond, and even a fragment of Tataouine (perfect for Star Wars fans).
Perfect for children in year 6+ (age 10+) who love space, science, and stories from beyond our planet.
Come ready to explore, learn, and be amazed - because space really does rock!
- Suitable for children aged 10+
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult
