Owl Walk

Our owl walk sold out so quickly, we have arranged another evening of owls...

This event is fully booked

If you would like to join the waiting list, please email hello@boreplace.org with the event, your name and the number of tickets you would like.

Are owls as wise as their reputation suggests and why is it that they hoot and screech as much as they do at this time of year?

Take a stroll after dark around Bore Place with bird expert Tom Forward, following our ears in search of the resident owls. Making use of thermal imaging equipment we'll be seeing if we can spot them, as well as other wildlife such as hares and deer that become more active by night.

  • Walking may include uneven ground and long grass, covering a distance of 2.5km, so sturdy footwear, walking boots or wellies recommended and warm clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
  • Suitable for age 8+ (however younger, interested children able to cover the walking distance are welcome).

We want our events to be accessible for all – please let us know if you require any additional information or adjustments and we will do our best to accommodate you. We offer free tickets to essential companions – please use the ‘Any Special Requirements’ box at checkout to let us know if you would like to book one. You can also contact us on hello@boreplace.org or 01732 463255 to chat about your requirements.

This event is part of our People and Nature Together project, made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and thanks to National Lottery players. This event is supported by the Farming in Protected Landscapes programme.

Please note tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to another event. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else (please let us know the name and email address of the attendee), otherwise your ticket fee will be considered a donation to the Commonwork Trust.
