We're sorry, this event has now passed.

Yoghurt, a delicious and health-giving probiotic food which can be enjoyed purely as it is - or it can be transformed into many delightful foods...

We are very pleased to welcome Rachna Jhala back to Bore Place for the next dairy workshop. For those who attended her Yoghurt Making Workshop, this is a fantastic next step in your yoghurt learning journey! We will learn to make labneh, a cream cheese which originated from the Levant and paneer, a subcontinental asian cooking cheese.

As part of the session you will get a pot of Happy Belly yoghurt and a sachet of Zaytoun za’tar to take home, to put into action all that you have learned.

The workshop will be led by Rachna Jhala, the founder and director of Happy Belly Foods, which uses milk from the Bore Place herd to make their delicious dairy products. Rachna has been making her own yoghurt and other fermented foods since she was a teenager and is passionate about sharing her skills and knowledge with the community.

The workshop will end with a tasting session of Happy Belly fermented dairy products and the opportunity to discuss the cultural history of dairy fermentation. Rachna is a big proponent of the powerful support such foods provide in building immunity and general wellbeing in us and she will share this knowledge with you. You will all receive a pot of Happy Belly yoghurt to take home to apply your newly acquired yoghurt making skills or just enjoy eating!

Whilst this is an excellent extension to Rachna's yoghurt making workshop, this workshop is suitable for all levels, and no previous experience or knowledge is necessary. Tea and coffee will be provided.
