Testimonials from Schools

The staff were all so knowledgeable and engaged with the children at exactly the right level, differentiating questions as we would do in class and building on their knowledge and connections throughout the day. The hands on activities were very well planned to develop children's knowledge and understanding in the time given. All the staff were welcoming and very flexible, able to adjust timings as needed.

Year 3 Teacher, St Michael’s Prep School, Otford, Kent - January 2017

It was a real pleasure to harvest the toppings for the pizza, use the milling machine and work in a professional kitchen – especially using the industrial dishwasher! ... We would love to come back again!

Year 7/8 Teacher, Hayesbrook School, Tonbridge - November 2016

Thank you so much for yesterday.  The trip was beyond my expectations and all the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves [...] The dairy farm was really fascinating -  I think the boys would have stayed for ages asking their questions!

Year 7/8 Teacher, Hayesbrook School, Tonbridge - November 2016

It was all at the right level for the children, they thoroughly enjoyed it. An excellent introduction to recycling and healthy eating habits. Everything is useful on a farm; no wastage!

Nursery School Teacher, Felicity's Nursery School, Crockham Hill, Kent - July 2016

The bread making linked to the Little Red Hen story was lovely and the children were engaged and motivated. The farm tour was also a big success

Reception Class Teacher, St John’s Primary School, Tunbridge Wells - May 2016

I am always very happy that you are flexible and are able to work with us in providing a meaningful day for the pupils. You were able to meet all our requests. Health and safety issues are always addressed well. Tutors engage with pupils with great understanding. I brought several pupils with various SEN needs which tutors showed understanding for.

Year 8 Teacher, Trinity Church of England School, Bexley - April 2016

Pre-trip organization - excellent. The workshop leaders were fantastic and pitched the sessions really well for the children

Teacher, Edenbridge Primary School, Kent - April 2016

Interactive tasks for food miles and diamond ranking of consumer choices was excellent. Students took a lot away from this.

Year 7 Teacher, Cobham Hall School, Gravesend - April 2016

The experience of brick making in particular was very enjoyable. It was great to see the animals also. One doesn't get a chance to visit a farm as an adult. My experience of visiting a farm as a child has stayed with me all these years. The children loved it.

Year 4 Teacher, Kemsing School, Sevenoaks - March 2016

Friendly staff as usual, the cooking went down very well!

Year 8 Teacher, Blackheath High School, London - October 2015

The tutor-led art sessions were particularly valuable, as they fitted in well with our topics at school. The children loved dying their pieces of prepared materials. The activity in the gardens during the afternoon was delightful; there were so many vivid colours for the children to collect. Obviously the 'River of Poo' was a great highlight too!! Both the adults and children learnt a lot and the tutor was extremely informative about the workings of the farm too.

Year 2 Teacher, Weald Community Primary School, Sevenoaks - July 2015

The visit complemented the work we were doing at school as our topic was food. The children really loved making the food.

Year 4 Teacher, Thomas Fairchild Community School, London - May 2015
