Our wedding and event venues

We offer you exclusive use of the venue with options for overnight accommodation for your guests.

At Bore Place you'll find a mix of characterful rooms, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces and plenty of overnight accommodation for your guests. What makes Bore Place unique as a wedding venue is that we don’t have any formats in place and we actively encourage you to use the house and grounds as your own to make the day just how you want it. We make an ideal wedding venue, for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.

There are a number of indoor and outdoor rooms and spaces where you can hold your ceremony – all can be personalised to make them exactly how you want them. Many couples choose to use the entire house. Outdoor ceremonies are also very popular. The Large Barn is ideal for sit-down receptions and discos. We can also arrange for a marquee or tipi to be erected in the gardens.

We would be very happy to talk through any ideas you have in mind.

General information

Guests have exclusive use of the buildings. All accommodation can be booked on single bedroom occupancy terms if this is required.

There is a minimum group size for each of the Old Stable Courtyard and Bore Place House of 12 people. Bedrooms are not ensuite but bathrooms are arranged so that only two to three rooms share and there are some rooms with their own bathroom alongside. Apart from practical restrictions due the fact that these are old historic buildings, the bathroom arrangement is deliberate as we want people to feel they are coming together in a place which belongs to the group for their stay. This is reflected in the kitchen and dining rooms too which you are welcome to use at any time of the day or night.
