Solar viewing and planets in the night sky...

(photo: credit Malissa Pacheco, http://www.startalkradio.net/looking-up-at-the-partial-solar-eclipse-scas-pueblo/)

Join the Edenbridge and District Astronomers for an evening looking at the sky.

Have a go at solar viewing and hopefully see sun spots and flares. Solar viewing is done using solar telescopes, which are highly filtered and one of the safest ways to look at the sun. Once it gets dark, we will look through telescopes and hopefully see Mars, Venus and Saturn and a first quarter Moon.

Booking

Places must be pre-booked. £5 adults and £3 children (age 5-11).

Important Info

We will be outside so please dress for the weather. It is advised that you wear boots in case the ground is muddy and bring a flask for a hot drink to keep warm!

Please note, this event is weather dependent. If the sky is too cloudy or the weather is poor, we will be unable to go ahead. If we are forced to cancel, you will be entitled to a full refund.
