Even tiny tots can make real bread in time to celebrate ‘Real Bread Week’. Through our own version of the well-known Little Red Hen story, children will learn where flour comes from and how it’s turned into delicious bread. They will grind their own flour and make hen-shaped bread, before going out to meet our herd of dairy cows on the farm.
This activity is best suited to children aged 3-6 years, all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the session.
For the baking activity children will be working in pairs then sharing what they have made to take home.
A second pair of outside shoes or ideally wellington boots must be brought for use on the farm tour.
Allergy and dietary information must be provided at least a week before the workshop to ensure it is catered for.
