All Feathers & Fur

Event closed

We're sorry, this event has now passed.

A guided wildlife hike for the whole family!

Take a walk along the farm trail to discover how our furry and feathered friends are preparing for winter.

Find out why birds of a feather flock together and learn top tips for telling them apart. Have a chance to see mice and voles close up when we check the humane traps. Along the way we’ll take in our hedgerows and woodlands, which are brimming with nuts, seeds and berries - essential winter fuel for birds and small mammals. We will also scan Bough Beech reservoir for wild geese and ducks arriving from colder climes.

The walk involves gentle slopes, uneven ground, and crossing over stiles.

Bring binoculars if you have them.

Suitable for adults and children (aged 8+). Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

What to wear
All our half term events include time spent outdoors around the farm, gardens and trails, so everyone attending must dress for the weather and bring wellies which are essential for a visit to the farm!
