Launch of Bore Place Walks

Event closed

We're sorry, this event has now passed.

A free guided walk celebrating the opening of 3 walking trails at Bore Place

Our popular field trail walk is being renovated and improved with new waymarkers, new picnic areas, new information boards, new walking maps and two new routes! Bore Place will have three circular walks of different lengths taking in glorious views, ancient woodlands and numerous ponds brimming with wildlife. Come and join us to the launch the new trails!

To celebrate the launch we’re offering a free guided wildlife walk following the Green Trail (2.2km) or you can pick up one of our all-new trail maps to take a self-guided walk around the Red Trail (4.6km) or Blue Trail (2km).

Our resident wildlife expert and Education Coordinator, Tom Forward, will lead the walk which will take in stunning views over Bough Beech reservoir and the wintery structure of bare woodlands. You’ll look out for flocks of winter wildfowl and spot wildlife tracks in the ground.

The guided walk will leave at 11:30am and last around 1½hrs. Numbers on the free guided walk must be limited so sign up below to secure places. Remaining places will be allocated on the day on a first come, first served basis.

We’ll have a pop-up café open 10:30am-2:00pm serving tea, coffee and cake – the perfect end to a lovely countryside ramble (or energy boost before!)
