We were lucky to be in Bore Place House again – a stunning, beautifully kept manor house with parts dating back to Tudor times. All the bedrooms and bathrooms have their own individual personality, so this is nothing like staying in a hotel
A stay at Bore Place can’t go without a mention of the food. The wonderful, organic, home-cooked food was just superb [..] Sparky, the chef, ran us through the lunch and dinner menus; all organic, all lovingly cooked by him, we tucked into a substantial lunch and then a three-course dinner.
With regards to catering, the focus on local and organic produce was excellent and supported the entire ethical approach of Bore Place as well as the focus of our students on sustainability. Your food was one of the highlights of the week and all enjoyed it greatly. We love to stay at Bore Place because if offers such a perfect retreat for reflection and thought. We will definitely return!!
A beautiful and restful environment to re-charge the soul, with good wholesome food to re-charge the body, a very satisfying weekend spent in good company.
Bore Place is unique. It is a wonderful venue for hosting meaningful workshops and events that allow corporate and not corporate participants the time and space to engage with learning, creativity and nature. It is professionally run to the highest of standards, and at its centre is a peaceful, heartfelt tranquillity. The food is sublime, full of taste and goodness. Once you’ve been here it is difficult to find a venue that compares. My team want to keep coming back...
Thank you and your wonderful colleagues for all your help and for making sure our away days were as enjoyable and productive as always.
New colleagues commented on how wonderful Bore Place is and how delicious the food was. Please extend our thanks to chef Sparky. We had a few more dietary requests this time, and he catered for everybody.
Thank you for all your help and hospitality. You even laid on the weather for us! Everyone commented on the delicious food and amazing surroundings and helpful team so many thanks to you all for the great few days
Bore Place was and remains, perfect for the immersion in reflection, learning and understanding that the Fellows' residential fortnight is all about. Above all it encourages the camaraderie, the esprit, and the learning-from-each-other that is one of the supreme gifts of the Clore leadership Programme
Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful weekend of yoga, and especially ask you to thank the cooks...the effort they made for me to make sure I had nice food to eat was amazing. Not only did they accommodate me, they made some really lovely dishes and desserts which were very special!
Thanks for a fantastic weekend! What a perfect setting for getting together with old friends. The accommodations were terrific, and the surrounding area was so lovely. Chef Sparky provided the most delicious food (I even emailed him afterwards for recipe advice!) and the entire staff was lovely. I definitely want to visit again soon!
Bore Place is one of those places that you need to experience, preferably in a group to understand its charm and effectiveness. I stayed in April 2016 for a mini reunion of our Atlantic College 88-90 class. People came from literally all over the world to catch up for a weekend. The setting was just perfect because it manages to create such a great atmosphere for re-connecting with old friends [...] The big house is really the central meeting point, and has a big kitchen with allows for joint breakfast etc,. The house with its multiple rooms also allows for groups to join and split up and yet always be under the same roof. Excellent for mingling in and out of different groups.
Bore Place was chosen as the setting for our school reunion. The possibility to host a large group of people with ease in a beautiful setting and provide catering, as well as being close to London’s airports made this a very attractive location for us. It did indeed prove to be the perfect setting. The main house is beautiful with lots of indoor and outdoor spaces, both large and small. The food, which is predominantly produced on site, was delicious and the staff were very courteous and friendly.
On behalf of all of us that stayed, we can wholeheartedly recommend Bore Place. Should you have any special requirements, please don’t hesitate to talk to them. They are very flexible and will always try to accommodate. It is a wonderful place.
I am just basking in a warm glow of reflected positive feedback on all aspects of our residential course at Bore Place. Thank you to everyone for all your hard work and support. The accomodation and ambiance were perfect for our group, and the catering superb - please extend our thanks to Sparky and all the kitchen and serving staff
I just wanted to say a huge thanks again for last week’s residential at Bore Place – myself and the others really enjoy visiting you, we always feel very welcome and come away feeling relaxed and refreshed
I have just returned from a weekend at Bore Place organised by the Avanti Trust. The venue was amazing and your farm, grounds and food is a credit to you. I would like to congratulate the chef - his food was amazing and has certainly inspired me to try and cook more healthily.
Thanks for a great stay, we really enjoyed the place and would definitely recommend it
Just a line to say thank you so much for a wonderful, wonderful time last week. I know we’ll be back as soon as we can manage another trip!
